History / Mass production

SANZ repaired motorbike crankshafts for the Spanish Civil Guard and from here began the manufacturing of a small series of crankshafts, made through open-die forging by mean of rudimentary lathes. Mass-production was achieved after 10 years of operation, when manufacturing for industrial cooling equipments, ships and crankshafts for own brand fridges for private use began.

The first car brand for which SANZ manufactured spare parts was SEAT® and  20 years after its creation it was already manufacturing spare parts for prestigious brand names such as PERKINS®, MOTOR IBÉRICA®, NISSAN®, MERCEDES®, CHRYSLER® etc.

Its constant commitment to the quality of its products is what makes SANZ stand out enabling it to rise above one of the worst crisis in the spare part and basic engine equipment sector occurring in Spain in the 80s.

SANZ transformed SEAT motors to increase the cubic capacity, both in private cars and racing motors. The picture shows the first crankshafts which served as samples in the company’s first commercial visits
